Program Information
What is elder abuse?
Elder abuse is the mistreatment or exploitation of an older person. It is very distressing for older people, their family and other loved ones. Most commonly, it is committed by someone that the older person knows and trusts. Sadly, it most often occurs within family relationships.
How we can support you
Our focus is always the older person. We start by speaking with them and getting their permission to make an appointment. We then do a broader assessment to work out what’s going on and a develop a way forward.
