have the ability to speak clearly and slowly to people who may have hearing issues
You'll also have...
For Home and Community roles
a current full driver's licence
your own registered, insured and roadworthy vehicle (you will be paid for travel time and mileage)
a fully vaccinated COVID-19 status (currently triple vaccination)
a current First Aid and CPR certificate or be willing to obtain prior to commencing
a Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support is desirable, but not essential. If you have the right personal qualities and a willingness to learn, we want to hear from you!
For Residential Care roles
an up-to-date Influenza vaccination
a fully vaccinated COVID-19 status (currently triple vaccination)
a Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support
previous experience working in Aged Care is desirable, but not essential.

Day in the life of a Home and Community Care Worker
As one of our Home and Community Care Workers, you will be offering assistance in everyday tasks that may be difficult or no longer achievable for an older person.
Your day could involve:
domestic assistance duties like light cleaning, mopping and laundry
personal care including showering, dressing and assisting with personal hygiene and/or medications
planning and preparation of meals
transporting clients to appointments
accompanying clients to social outings
helping us create better support plans to fit customers’ needs
